Took AZ Trail from Route 66 to Buffalo trail for loop. Difficult hill in very beginning on AZ trail. Gorgeous ride! Finished loop by turning left on Route 66 and bikes down to the Eat and Run Cafe where I had a delicious Turkey Berry Sandwich (Highly recommend!!). Short 45 to an hour ride but definitely got the blood pumping. Be aware!!! Pine needles are slippery!!!

This is a lovely trail that is mostly flat with an incline at the end. A majority of the trail is out in an open field and the end has some woods and wildlife. The parking lot has clean porta-potties. Heavily trafficked and very safe. I highly recommend!

Beautiful park with plenty of trails to explore. Great views of the mountains nearby. Sections are out in the open, no shade. My dog enjoyed it immensely. Completed Sept. 14, 2019.

Ran this trail yesterday morning and absolutely loved it! Lots of parking, portable toilets, and fantastic views of the nearby mountains. The loop trail is called the Nate Avery Trail and if you follow it counter-clockwise, the mileage is marked. It begins to the right just after the spur for the Arizona Trail. Running is not my favorite thing to yet--I still prefer hiking--but the scenery here made the miles fly by. The aggregate surface is comfortable and the path is wide. Enjoy it!

Beautiful!!! Absolutely breath taking views. Easy hike/walk. Some areas with an incline then flat overall. Easy to find, multiple options for loops, and an activity course along the way if you wish. Do this hike!!

Truly a walk in the park. This is hiking towards the tail end but its a awesoem multi trail system set up in the city. I am recovering from an injury and this was a great way to start getting back into things. Beautiful scenery and open area to roam. this park has an exercise activity station around the 2 mile tril.

Really great well marked trails in a public park. Trails wide enough to drive and mostly flat. The kids really enjoyed the fitness obstacles!

Truly an "easy" trail. Gravel base the whole way. Nice views of Humphrey's Peak, open prairie, and pine forest. Lots of walkers, runners, and very few bikes. Keep an eye open for deer in the open prairie.

Fun, easy trail! There are "Challenge" stations throughout the path, approximately every quarter mile. The stations give exercises to do and the space and set up to do them. The exercises start with warmup type movements and progress to more challenging activities. Some examples are lateral raises, assisted push-ups, monkey bars, and a climbing rope. The scenery is beautiful, we saw deer foraging and there was a beautiful mountain backdrop. There are additional trails at the park if you are wanting more and there are several shortcuts back to the start of the loop if you would like to do less. Very dog friendly with trash cans throughout the loop, the water fountain at the trail head is also equipped for pups to hydrate. If you forget your bags or run out, there are some available on posts at the trailhead.

I took my mother on this hike. She has health issues, so finding a hike that she can do is hard. This place was beautiful and she made it. Very nice and peaceful too.

Pretty trail. Flat and very easy. It’s considered an “exercise trail” And would be good for strollers, little kids or dogs.
