Good trail to start building up endurance for harder hikes. It is one that anyone can complete without too much difficulty if you are in basic good health. There are some climbs, but nothing drastic or hard. Nice views, not heavily trafficked, you will sometimes run into deer, elk, and more than once I have ran into groups of wild horses.
Nice easy hike. Lots of elk and deer sign. Saw 2 wild horses that wandered off the reservation. Did the 3 mile loop.
The best thing about this trail is the views. There can be four wheelers zipping around so be careful when you hear them. Can get quite a surprise when biking around corners. Nice ride though and I have come across elk. Not too technical with plenty of fun riding.
Nice trail, fairly level with a couple of nice high points that give a view of the surrounding area. It takes more like 4 hours to hike. Used for mountain biking, too. I did not see another hiker when I was out there on a weekday.
