November 27, 2020Well marked and provided facilities (at the entrance/starting point). So many different options to add on more mileage as there are many intersecting trails. Day after Thanksgiving so it was pretty busy. Many groups of mountain bikers on the trail.

August 18, 2020Started at 7 with sun behind light clouds. Temp was perfect. About. 8:15 the clouds burned off and it got hot. I had my camelback with me so no worries but I was glad to get back to the trailhead. The trail is really a nice mix of up and down and desert beauty. I would rate it easy myself.
July 25, 2020Lovely EASY trail. Took to end of Chuckwagon and went to Balanced Rock. Round trip: 6.4. Gave it 4 stars because some of Trail follows power lines.
May 22, 2020nice walk but would have to categorize as easy. Light traffic, the further you go the more peace.. No shade or water. Not buggy at all.

April 5, 2020First part of hike is heavily traveled with people and bikes. Power lines detract from views. After power lines, the desert vegetation and views are lovely, with way less people. We hiked Balanced Rock and Granite Loop also. Other visitors reported seeing rattlers.

First to ReviewWell kept trail with few rocky areas. Trail is easy to follow with numerous signs. It offers great views of the surrounding mountains and variety of desert plants.
