My all time favorite hike in AZ! I loved it so much did it 2 days in a row. Took me about 75 minutes and was about 4.37 miles, took the longer trail after climbing the mountain and over. Burned 600+ cal too such a great and beautiful workout. Even gives you the option at the top to climb the summit or not.

Cloudy and perfect. Beautiful wildflowers and views.

Found this gem today, easy loop to run but still has a nice view at the summit. Very few people out there on Wednesday evening.

Good trail. Not too challenging, but offers nice views. There is discrepancy on the reported elevation- my Garmin showed 510 feet of elevation vs the 100 feet in All Trails. The length was just a bit more 3.9 miles

Perfect day for this hike! Started about 2:30, Hiked Brown’s Mountain Summit first then took Upper Ranch Trail Loop. I would rate it a little less than moderate but great views. Not too crowded at all and the trails are clean and marked ! A favorite !

Great trail. Fairly steep but short climb to summit. Fantastic 360 degree view of surrounding mountains.

Best trail this far, very well mapped and the perfect balance of hills. Highly recommend!

Good mix of challenging parts and easier parts. Great views of Scottsdale and the surrounding area. You can make the hike harder by making the quarter mile hike up Brown’s peak near the half way mark of the hike. Highly recommend doing this if you can handle it - the views are worth it.

a fun hike but not really very challenging. Did you need to get in better shape would be a trip that you can make.

It rained last night so very muddy an slippery up and down the summit. Very fun hike. Excellent facility at the trail head.

Great trail with some great views at the peak. It is mostly flat but then gets fairly elevated going up and coming down the mountain, so the elevation change is pretty much all at once. The north side of the mountain was completely shaded when I went up, but it was a bit later in the afternoon.

My introduction to the Northern part of the Scottsdale Preserve. Nice, scenic hike around a couple of small mountains and beautiful desert vistas. The desert was nice and green from recent rains that made the cactus and trees really pop with color. Crowded at the trail head, but once you get further out, you get solitude. My hat's off to the city of Scottsdale for a job well done making these parks so enjoyable. The facilities here are top-notch! I'll be back again for more hikes in the area!

One of my favorite hikes...not really hard and magnificent views. You can also extend the hike to pretty much as much distance as you want.
