Brown Ranch Trail to Cone Mountain Trail is a 3.8 mile loop trail located near Scottsdale, Arizona that features beautiful wild flowers. The trail is rated as moderate and primarily used for hiking, walking, and birding.
The loop they have on here is pretty crappy. For some real fun climb browns mountain from the north and descent from the south.
Did this one yesterday. Well maintained trailhead, plenty of parking. We went in the afternoon...had a nice breeze the entire time, which helped with the heat. Saw a few walkers, and a few mtn bikers, but most people were off on other trails. Also got to see a very active honeybee hive in the base of a large rock around the south side, and witnessed a moving bee swarm when we got back to the trail head (a rare thing to see). Great day.
Nice variety of terrain part of a much bigger trail system of all challenges. Not as crowded as the rest of the mcdowell system of trails
