The bowen trail didn’t take you directly to the stone house. You then had to take the yetman trail left another 1000 steps to get to house. Overall good trail.

This is an easy trail with some great views. Flowers were blooming and we enjoyed having our lunch at the Hippie House.

The historic Bowen homestead was neat! The round trip took us 2 hours (3.8 miles). I have twin boys (5) and a 9 year old. One of my boys complained most of time, but the other two were completely fine. This is mostly a flat trail, with slight inclines and Rocky climbs here and there. Bring lots of water and a big hat! I saw some runners and bikers on the trail as well.

A very nice easy trail suitable for all family members. The trail starts out being very rocky, with a lot of toe stubbers but gets better as you continue. Not much shade but a nice easy short trail with great views.

I did the NAB loop from Bowen Trail. 6.1 miles, lots of elevation change and high ridges. Just an awesome loop. There are trails if you can figure it out. Definitely more than one way to go, bushwhacking a bit here and there when trail is lost, no problem.

NAB Loop trail starting at Bowen Trail head. This one goes to Painted Cave and Bowen House. Moderate. Highly recommend. Great views, dramatic scenery.

Great easy hike that any level hiker could complete. Definitely worth it to go the extra half mile to the stone house. Turn left at the start of Yetman.

Great gradual uphill trail but it’s a bit rocky. Wonderful bird sightings. Be sure to have hiking boots or a walking stick if you have trouble with balance.

Nice, easy hike (even for kids). Lots of colorful flowers in bloom! The parking was kind of weird. We went to the end and then went left at Yetman to see the Bowen stone house- definitely worth it!

Easy 1.5 out and back. Any level hiker can do this trail. Total of 250 elevation change. Very casual hike. Turn left at Yetman Trail to see Bowman House. It’s .5 miles from Bowman trail. This would be best at sunrise.

Great hike! Wonderful views and was easy to do with a backpack child carrier. If you’re looking to see The Bowen Homestead go left on Yetman at the end of the Bowen Trail and it’s only about 15 minutes until you reach it!

This is a nice flat trail with great views of hillsides full of Saguaros. It is easy enough to do with a backpack child carrier.

Fun trail. Lots of saguaro but trail is not prickly. Fun Bowen house at end of the trail.

Fun trail, you have to park on the street behind the starr pass resort. I was confused because I thought the Bowen house would be at the end of Bowen trail, but really you have to swing a left onto yetman and follow that for 15 minutes or so to reach the house. The house is super cool and worth a visit!

Today was the 3rd time I’ve hiked to the Bowen Stone House, and I am going again tomorrow. Park behind the Starr Pass Marriott. The trailhead is on the NW side of the resort. This trail is the most direct route to the stone house. Follow Bowen to Yetman, and keep to the left at each junction or wash. Keep to right on your way back.

I walked to the dry creek and then left to the Bowen cabin (or haunted cabin as the hotel staff call it). The Yetman trail portion to the house was a little confusing because it runs along and into the creek. Stay to the left. this was an exerting hike at 2 pm even with the minimal elevation rise. I especially enjoyed the hike from the hotel to creek because of the wide open scenery.
