Easy trail to follow as it’s well marked. Ran across a rattlesnake, otherwise very easy

Short out and back trail, straight forward and beautiful weather. Nice scenery and across the street (Carefree Highway) from where the Sidewinder/Ocotillo Trail is.

Chill, low-land stroll. Nice view of the mountains without having to take on any climbing. Great for folks looking for a nice, easy walk in the desert.

Best way to access the Dixie Loop in my opinion (starting at the main Trailhead via Hawk's Nest makes the whole ride a little harder). Start at the Bobcat Trailhead off Sonoran Desert Drive and ride South to Dixie. Look for the "D" on the posted trail sign to your left. Take that East and it will loop around South and West passed the Dixie Summit sign and the Valle Verde sign until you see a sign for Hawk's Nest. Nice climbs and a little bit of downhill during this section. The next sign to look for is Hawk's Nest where you will stay right and continue on the Dixie Loop. After a decent climb you will get your biggest reward bombing downhill North until you start climbing a bit heading East and then North again towards Bobcat. There's another downhill section when your close to Bobcat heading North close to the Dixie Loop break. Then a mild ride back to your car!

no parking lot and limited on street parking. the trailhead is off the road and easy to find but quickly gets confusing with private property signs and gated trails. you have to hop over the sonoran desert preserve gate to stay on the trail. from there on in the trail is well marked. very easy hike. really feel like you're in the middle of the desert.

I really liked this Trail, fairly flat and easy, great desert scenery, you do cross a few dry washes, and there are great sign posts along the way showing GPS, elevation and distance. Recommended more for a walk than a hike, and also provides access to the Dixie Mountain Loop Trail.
