Base trail is fairly level and mild elevation climb following a counterclockwise direction. We passed the Rector Connector to go up to Bell Rock and climbed to the second tier. Then back tracked and took Rector Connector south between Courthouse Butte and Bell Rock - this portion should be treated as moderate but very pleasant with impressive views. Arizona is into a severe 3 year drought and the wild flower bloom was negligible and many shrubs and prickly pear cacti were dead or showing stress.

Starts off easy, then as you climb the tower, the difficulty increases. Beautiful views looking north over Sedona.

Easy and beautiful. Hardly any people once you get to the back side of the trail. Views are better there too. Epic at sunset. Will share photos on IG @mirelaofearth

Sooooooo many people and no place to park. Try Little Horse trail instead

HikingGreat!

Beautiful views without being too strenuous. Got there around 8:30am on a weekday- we saw about 4 people total on the loop (there were a few dozen on the bell tower climb which we decided to add on.)

Great hike, especially during a pandemic. Pretty wide open, not as heavily trafficked. Beautiful weather, lots of birds, and manzanita trees.

HikingGreat!Rocky

Well marked, trail shared with mountain bikes, hikers and walkers for the first 1.5 miles when going clockwise. Then it’s no bikes for 2 miles. Lots and lots of man made steps when you lose the bikes. The last section (about a mile) is definitely mountain bike material but hike-able for sure.
