This was my first time out hiking for a day. For my first hike it was great. Pretty scenery and a decent amount of shade. Saw two deer but that was because I went off the trail a few times.

$3 fee to get into the parking lot, well worth it for the amazing views and facilities! Lots of benches along the trail, an awesome playground for the littles, trash cans, gazebos and picnic benches. A perfect picnic spot! There are hole-in-the-ground bathrooms. The trail is mostly shaded and stays close to the water the whole time. Lots of awesome views. Horses on the trails(watch out for droppings). the trail goes up and down, but there are no crazy-steep inclines. A good beginner hike.

Lovely little hike with plenty of shade under beautiful tall trees. Bikes and horses share the trail. Towards the end the trail markings get sparse.

I love Goldwater Lake! This trail is easy walking (not as many rocks) & has lots of benches & trash cans. It is great for my dog’s feet & me. Sometimes I can be a bit unstable. The good thing about the trash cans is you can find a place to throw away the dog’s poop. Nice shade & lots of trees.

Nice easy lakeside trail! Dirt trail through the woods around the edge of Upper Goldwater Lake. Good for dogs, solo hikers, and families. Lots of benches along the trail to sit, rest, and enjoy the lake.
