This is a scenic trail and not marked. This not a hike for a beginner or a person that doesn't know how to navigate with just a map and compass. The trail has to be gained by going cross country including crawling under a bob wire fence. The trail is mostly a faded game trail and often dissapears. There are lots of cairns to follow and i added at least 30 more, which was the reason for my slow time. The last 300' feet is fairly steep at least 60% grade. Didn't see anyone on the trail and there are great views all the way. Coming down takes just as long as going up because you don't want to slip on all the loose rocks. Also their are thousands of those jumping cactus including broken off parts on the trail. These are the ones that stick to anything and are hard to remove.
