From the center of the Village of Oak Creek at Highway 179, turn west on Verde Valley School Road for just over 4 miles, through town and past the school on to a parking area. Do not turn off this road, but continue forward. The trailhead is across road at the north end of the lot.

Nice easy trail for a short morning walk, about 2.5 miles around the loop. There are some steep rocky stairs in a couple of places. Watch out for the Mountain bikers.

We did this along with the templeton and cathedral rock. A nice little detour but not the best view over there.

The Baldwin Loop has some good views of Cathedral Rock, and was a super good trail for someone just starting out on their hiking journey (me), but was bit boring, poorly marked, and involved clambering over a lot of loose rocks. Would skip this one on the next visit.

Nice hike with great views. Be sure to hike out to the white rock in the center of the Mesa for even better views.

Easy 2.1 loop to do with the family. Trail can be rocky at times and there is some moderate climbing for kids. Great views.
