Great place to see flowering cactus! On our last trip we came upon an irritated rattlesnake! Very large one!

We modified this trail a bit as to not walk under the power lines on power line road. Would definitely give the trails we took a 5 star rating. Great area. Beautiful scenes.

I would definitely consider this an easy hike/walk. Very much recommend going to the Balanced Rock, its pretty neat. Balanced Rock trail is very pretty but the power line road, not so much.

I like to access this trail from the Granite Mountain Loop. The Balanced Rock is something to see. This area has lots of desert flora and is one of the more lush areas as it has not been damaged by fire like some of the surrounding areas - you will see lots of majestic saguaros, rock formations, and wildflowers in March/April.

6.2 miles from Brown's Ranch Trailhead using Power Lines and Chuck Wagon for part of the loop. If you want a shorter hike, start at the 116th street trailhead. Lovely views, flat, good for all levels.
