The trail is great for hiking and normally takes 1-3 hours. This is a nice, steady, non-strenuous, climb to the summit for anyone who is somewhat active. The type of incline where you can hold a conversation all the way up. Slightly rocky in parts but manageable. Nice American Flag planted at the top in a rock pile. Please pick up after your pets. Accurately rated. Very accessible. Nice view overlooking Glendale from the summit. Added a black throated sparrow to my bird list.

Fun stair-like climb, slow ascend but a lot of rocks to step up.

This was an amazing sunset hike to do. It’s fast and easy and you have plenty of time to get to the bottom before dark!

Love this trail after work! Nice little night hike! Not too difficult and is a good little cardio session!

Love it! About 25 minutes to the top, can go the switchback route that has more flat spots, or turn right at the fork for a longer more steady incline. Overall, shorter hike with nice views of the lakes below.

Description is accurate; I would add lots of loose rocks to navigate while walking.

A good moderate trail for various ages.
~ Cons: No restrooms at the base. But there are some at Sunrise (just Southwest).
~ Family: We also saw a family having a post Sunday service meal/picnic at the cabanas. A good reminder of family values and how the space is good for everyone. Not just hikers.

Fun hike with a great view at the top. I did it with a baby in a hiking back pack and found when you get to where the trail forks go left up the way with all the big rocks that are steps it's much easier going up these big steps then it would be coming down with a kid on your back.

Great local hike for a bit of stair stepping and areas to run in the trail. Great flow to the trail.

Thunderbird and Deem Hills parks are both nice for anyone living in the West Valley Phoenix area. Most trails are loops from easy to moderate difficulty. I like them both

A very serviceable hike and one that seems popular. This one has the ability to get your blood pumping but still allows you to maintain a conversation.
