This trail is definitely not easy or even moderate if you’re in the heat (very minimal shade) and also haven’t done a lot of physical activity. This was considered hard for our level three plus miles ended up being over 4 miles as we parked at the top parking lot which you pay $3 for access, lots of parking up top... we hiked down to the vortex overlook and proceeded to airport loop trail access that took us up and down what seemed like almost into town. Some rocky terrain so hiking boots/shoes a must. Not intended for the faint of heart or kids... on the positive ... if you are not struggling on your hike then you will for sure enjoy the spectacular views!

Great trail. Do it later in the day and cross the street to the trail head. Save the Ted Rocks for last. Bring water! It gets hot with the sun but the back has more shade to finish with. GREAT VIEWS!!

Nice moderate/easy hike with amazing, 360 views of Sedona. Not a lot of shade so be prepared. There is a small parking area at the trailhead and it looks like it could fill pretty quickly, although we got lucky and found a space at 945am. The short uphill trail to the summit is great and a must do for those killer views and photos.

Phenomenal 360 views of Sedona. Trail is easy to navigate and relatively flat. Had to park up about .5 miles from the start of the loop so that will add a mile to your hike. Wear sunscreen!! Some shady areas but mostly all sunny up on the mountain so come prepared with protection and water. Brought my dog but there were a lot of cacti on either side of the trail with some parts fallen onto the walkway so be careful if you bring your pet. Overall good hike for the views alone

Nice views of Sedona. Easy hike. Would recommend if you’re looking for a leisurely stroll! $3 parking and access to summit. Not as busy as I had expected.

Yikes! Don’t bring the kiddos...the east side is very treacherous. Great views though.

4.2 miles if you venture out to table top, which is worth the extra steps. Rocky but easy to follow. East side is hot. More shade on west side. Saved the summit for later but looked like it would be a great view.

This is not an easy hike for beginners. If you have been inactive for awhile I would not suggest doing this your first time back to activity. My kids and I did this one in about 3 hours on a hot day (lots of resting and stopping in the shade.) In the beginning there are some huge slippery/steep rocks but once you pass that it's pretty good. Lots of inclines and rocks in some parts. We had gone based on some of the reviews that it was "moderately easy" and I'm sure that's true for regular trekkies but for us, we were not prepared. The sign halfway through is marked ADVANCED. All in all, the views made it worthwhile! Really beautiful scenery.

This trail gives great views of Sedona as you'll get to see most of the major rock formations as you walk along it. The whole loop took me about 1.5 hours. The trail is listed at 3.2 miles but my tracker said 4.1. I parked on Sunset Dr at the church which has a short trail that leads up to where Airport meets Bandit. The eastern half of this trail is a bit sketchier than the western half, but it's not too bad - there are just some places where the trail goes away and it's just a rock wall. I went during sunrise, but it definitely seems like sunset would be the best time (so the sun is illuminating most of the mountains instead of being behind them).

Great trail. The loop is amazing as you can see different parts of Sedona and it’s gorgeous. There are spots to sit down and rest if needed, I advise going out to table rock and back as well as it’s only an additional .4 miles and the view is amazing. I highly recommend this hike!

If you want to get a feel for Sedona but you’ve only got time for 1 hike - this is the one! Wear Hiking boots or hiking shoes - lots of uneven & slippery spots. Unbelievable views!

Start on the right and enjoy the fauna then when you come around the other side you get the majestic views.

Great hike for a breezy April day! The panoramic views of the red rock formations are absolutely breathtaking. There are def some parts on this trail where you need to watch your step. There are 2 side trails that you can take off the main trail. If you’re on a time crunch I would pick Table Top over Bandit. The best views from Bandit are from earlier on the trail as opposed to Table Top, which has the best views at the end of trail!

Very good trail with high-up views of Sedona’s icinoc rocks. Easy trail to hike with little elevation gain.
