$5 to park. Trail and stairs are in great shape! Quick hike, great views, perfect for an afternoon now that it’s getting darker earlier

Very easy specially if you wanted for alone time . I love the stairs. If you need a good incline this is for you.

It is always such a fun hike. The kiddos and the dogs love it. One of our favorites. We do it at least once a week!

As a beginner I’m not going to lie it was difficult! We paced ourselves and pressed on even though there were more inclines than anticipated. Yes the stairs are a lot of work (we took lots of breaks) but we used mind over matter and got to the top to enjoy the awesome view!! On my pedometer app it showed 4 miles total. It truly is worth it!

The stairs! This trail can be difficult due to the stairs factor, but my children had no difficulty at all. It’s worth the views at the top!

Great hike. Pretty easy - not too challenging! If you have a hard time with stairs you won’t like this trail! It was great for getting out on a spur of the moment hike ! We did round trip in about 1hr 20 minutes with 15-20 of that taking in views at the top. Went with a little dog who loved it as well!

On occasion, you'll encounter wildlife. For the most part, though, the West Butte Trail is a great trail if you want to challenge yourself without killing yourself. The trail is great this time of year, except there are muddy patches from the rain. Still, highly enjoyable and worth the hike with the views at the end.

This has become one of my favorite evening hikes. The hike is an incline from nearly the beginning all the way to the top. The views from the top of the butte make every one of those 505 stairs worth it!

Those stairs are brutal. But the trail is well maintained and the views are truly spectacular.

The hard work is worth it once you reach the top after 506 stairs!! We went on a sunny day with a double rainbow and the 360 view was awe-inspiring!! The trail is actually 3 miles round trip and my family did it in 1hr 40min.

Starts gradually then ascends fairly steeply via well maintained stairs to the rocky open summit. wooded and shady during ascent with a lower overlook with two benches before the steep ascent roughly halfway up the trail. Take care to stay on the trail and avoid worn cut-offs as they are trying very hard to fight erosion.
