We hiked this trail right after doing the horseshoe lake trail. We ran out of time and energy before completing the loop so we turned around after a good while up a very big, seemingly endless, hill. The trail was well maintained and we saw several squirrels, birds, and one rabbit/hare. If you are in better shape than we are this trail would be doable but there are a decent amount of elevation climbs.

Great trail for leisurely hiking. Especially after hiking the Savage River Alpine Trail the previous day. Lots to see without having to spend a lot of time getting there. Lots of people on the trail so not one to hike if you are looking to get away from the crowds.

Very nice trail. Would have given a 5 star rating, but currently there is some construction being done on the trail. Very good trail for spotting small wildlife; rabbits, squirrels, and several species of birds. The moderate rating for difficulty is a bit exagerated, but all in all, a fine trail!!

Easy, well maintained hike with active preschool kids. Access to other trails is well marked. Bus depot and plane noise is a notable. Trail construction easily passable. Fun part of the afternoon in the park.

Nice, easy trail that feeds into other hiking options. They are currently working on a short section, but easy to navigate.

Nice loop trail but runs close to the parking lot and roads for the first mile. Would not class it as moderate. The trail is easy, wide, and basically flat. Nice easy walk.

Great little trail for anyone wanting a step up from the average. The trail starts at either the visitor center or the railroad track near Horseshoe Lake and can be used to connect several other trails. There are some good views on the trail and, during the short spring and summer, plenty of wildflowers.

Taiga trail is not really a hiking destination trail. It is an access trail that links other trails.
