Sterling Highway: Homer to Tern Lake is a 132.2 mile moderately trafficked point-to-point trail located near Ninilchik, Alaska that offers scenic views and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for nature trips and scenic driving and is best used from May until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

It may be only a road but it's some of the best scenery by road around. Beautiful year round but can be crowded in summer (tourist season)
