Awesome hike with incredible views! Lots of scree/rocks at the beginning and toward the summit, looks a lot harder than it is, it’s all worth it for the views at the top. Ankles and knees are a bit sore the day after, it took us about 3.5 hours round trip taking it easy and taking lots of pics.

8/20/2020: The trail is pretty simple once you get past the initial scree climb at the starting point. Great short hike with a rewarding vantage point.

Always a beautiful hike! Especially early in the morning when you have the whole mountain to yourself.

Alaska 2020 w/ Amber No bugs (somehow [suspicious]) Steep in parts, but completely worth it. Big ole ridge about 75% up that feels like another world.

Very moderate but such a great hike for a newer hiker wanting to up your endurance. Going up it was very steep but once you get past that the trail on top is perfect and the views just keep getting better!

Fairly steep on 1st and last peaks but the ridge walking is incredible. Being above the treeline gives it an Icelandic vibe, definitely going on the favorites list.

I love this short hike in the Hatcher Pass area. It starts out steep and has another steep incline about halfway into the hike, but the ridge walking is so worth it. Just did it on 9-2-19 at sunset and it was windy with a few rain showers, but just as awesome as ever. Took me a little over an hour and I am a bit fat and out of shape so some might average a little faster than that.

Hiked Skyscraper in Hatcher’s for the first time over the weekend. A beautiful evening and what incredible views! The initial climb is the hardest part but really was expecting it to be a lot harder. Following a “trail” up the first climb was a bit confusing but it eventually became clear. Staying to the left is best till you identify the official trail. Hiking pole was definitely a good idea. The remainder of the hike was beautiful and windy with one more short climb to the top.

Great hike. I started at 8:10 and made it back down by 9:25pm. It was pretty buggy at the top, my shoulders have at least 11 bites. It gives you a clear view of April Bowl, and when you get to the actual peak you have a clear view of Marmot Mountain. The first section is a scramble, so be careful and the first peak after that is a false peak. You want to continue to the left and follow the trail up to that second peak.

Awesome hike. It should not be rated as easy. It is short but the first climb and the approach to the summit is steep an slick.
