Gorgeous hike from Red Cloud up to Sharatin Mt. the trail was very well maintained. Then followed a ridge towards hour glass lake to connect to the last portion of Shelly Lake Trail to Shelly Lake. Returned down Shelly Lake trailhead.

The trail mapped here only goes to the bowl which is about half way to the summit. The hike was pretty good. It had varied terrain, but was especially windy on top the mountain the day I went.

Great hike. We lost the trail at one point and had a hard time finding the summit, overall fun hike and fairly kid friendly.

The 5.1 miles only takes you to the bowl. In order to reach the "peak" you must head to the back of the bowl and up to the saddle. There you take a right and follow until you see a stack of stock with a marker and a pink taped water bottle. If you continue past the marker there are INCREDIBLE views if Shelly Lake!!! There is an alpine lake within walking distance of the peak marker and it is absolutely worth a visit! Bring a swim suit! Plenty of water crossings before the Bowl! We cooled off in a waterfall :) We ended with 9.6 miles

Very overgrown with briars, and muddy first mile and half. Bring high boots and pants or embrace the suck! Last part of the trail is nonexistent but able to follow gps course on Garmin watch. High winds on exposed top, bring multiple layers.
