Great hike! Very easy walk the first half, then once you get to the sign pointing you in the direct of the dam, be prepared for some incline! It is a well maintained trail, and once you get to the bunch of stairs you will be at the dam in no time. I enjoy the end view on this hike over a high mountain top. Being surrounded by the mountains just feels so different and peaceful. Got to pet a lot of adorable pups along the way too!

Last two days have been excellent. Saw a yearling black bear today, he was not very observant and i had to make my presence known which can be dangerous.

There is a natural spring before the water tower on the main trail. On a sunny dry day look for the very very small puddle 3/4 the way to the tower.
