Powerline to Hidden Lake Trail is a 10.2 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Anchorage, Alaska that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
The power-line pass is an easy trail. But the 2 miles to hidden lake are more difficult. It's worth every step and plenty of areas to rest with great scenery.
went today for my first winter hiking trek and this hike did not disappoint! there was some deep snow in parts and it was pretty steep near the top but totally worth it. you can't beat clear blue skies and snowy mountain views.
The power-line pass is an easy trail. But the 2 miles to hidden lake are not easy at all if you are out of shape. Took me 3.5 hours to make it to the lake. It's worth every step and plenty of areas to rest with great scenery.
It's a fun hike. Powerline pass always has gorgeous scenery. The hike is pretty easy, mostly level until the very end. Not one of my favorites in the Anchorage bowl, but it's a good short hike. Usually takes me about 3 hours to complete the whole thing from the parking lot to the lake and back. The terrain is just a rocky/dirt path, fairly easy to navigate.
we just went to the lake for a view. We didnt hike
Nice easy day hike
Easy ride on a well maintained trail. No real gut busters. Scenery is great with plenty of wildlife near the lake.
Great trail to run or hike! Refreshing reward at the lake... if you can stand the cold water
