Great trail but needs some maintenance closer to the lake. Take the time to hike down to the falls off the trail...you won't regret it.

This is a moderate hike, slight elevation, messy once you get to the lake. This one is fun in the pouring rain!

Hiked this trail on 9/25. Even after a week of continuous light rain it’s in remarkable shape. Only exception is right at the lake where trail ends. You have to traverse some wooden planks that bridge some gaps. Most of that wood is in really bad shape. Trail was moderate in steepness, not bad at all. Beautiful lake, saw some deer and nice waterfall but you can’t get that close to it.

Nice long trail leading to beautiful lake. It had rained hard earlier I the week and the falls and Creek were roaring! I took my two dogs and they loved it. The inclines were not steep but mostly gradual.

Great hike. Moderate incline. Excellent footing(great for trail running). I hiked out and ran back. The hike is through the rain forest.. The view of the lake at the end is beautiful. Total time out and back was one hour fifty minutes with breaks for water and pictures.

A real hiking trail. I needed a walking stick. No climbing but plenty inclines.

A heavily forested walk eventually leads you up to a Bob Ross-style picturesque sweeping view of Alaska at its finest!

icy as hell

Beautiful forest hike to beautiful Perseverance Lake. A bit slippery in spots, but most of the trail is maintained well, except for a few spots. Good balance in inclines, steps, level areas.

Lots of mushroom picking opportunities right now on this hike. Not easy but not hard. Well maintained trail during the entire hike. When you get to the fork in the trail (as you near the lake), the left trail will take you to a bridge with a pretty view of a creek before reaching the lake. The trail switches to planks of wood, some of which are a little unstable so watch your footing! This trail ends quickly as you get to the lake (less than a 10 min walk) and it’s a beautiful view! There is a decent sized down tree to sit down and relax on. If you take the trail on the right, it will again turn to planks of wood (much sturdier) and continue on for quite awhile next to the lake. You can pick up another trail on this one if you continue on, but I don’t know how far away it is. The trailhead is far from the highway so you don’t have any traffic noise at all. Great hike!

Nice trail! the last section of boardwalk was all icy and packed down by lots of hikers so it was a bit sketchy.
