This hike begins in downtown Juneau Alaska and goes to the trailhead on basin road. The hike then progresses up the mountian (steep at times) to the top of Mt. Roberts tramway. The hike then continues on to the historic father browns cross. This trail can be very wet and hard to traverse at times. Proper shoes and raingear are recomeneded.

Moderate due to elevation but was very well maintained and didn’t have a lot of traffic on it. Great views from the top and was able to see downtown Juneau easily. Would recommend if you don’t mind heights.

Cruise ship visit to Juneau for the day. On the upper end of moderate for an average ability person like myself but worth it especially if you are off a cruise ship and want to get away from the crowd. Some nice views and photo moments. The hike through town to get to the trailhead is great with nice homes and gardens full of flowers. Or do the lower portion along the river which gets to the same trailhead. A $10 purchase pp at the top will get you a free tram ride back down to town. And you can easily manage that with a reward of a local beer at their bar, served by Kathleen the Tlingit princess. Tell her Vidal from Nashville sent you, now an honorary Eagle Shark. Do it!
