Drive across the Gastineau channel bridge to Douglas island and stay to the left towards downtown Douglas. Take a right onto E street and then a left onto 5th street. The trail head is located approximately a half mile down the road in the 300 block.

Great short / moderately challenging day hike. Got off trail for a few minutes near the top .....sent a baby black bear climbing up a tree. That's a marvelous feeling. Fortunately momma bear wasn't around or wasn't hungry so I lived to tell the tale.
