Hike up the front side for more of a challenge. It is way more fun than going up the back side. Great views at the top. Always a good hike!

The trail is muddy so bring water proof shoes, we took the trail to the left and half way through there was snow so we lost the trail, it was hard to get through the snow with the kids as it was steep. We believe we went off trail since we couldn’t see it because of the snow. Other than that it was fine. I would wait till June to hike this if you want pretty surrounding as all the trees still dead. In the summer is beautiful and green.

Had tons of fun! Lost the trail part way up so it felt like we were just scaling the side to get to the top. Beautiful views! It was extremely muddy on our way down. We all slipped a few times. Will do again later in the summer.

One way is steeper than the other. If you start off straight, you will reach the steep trail, but if you immediately go right from the road, you will take switchbacks. We accidentally went up the steep side & it was tough but doable. Took about 2.5hrs up & back. Very windy at the top w great views.
