I loved this trail, I can see how it could be a really fun running trail too! Very enjoyable, minimal mosquitos when by the water. Plenty of space to walk around muddy sections.

This is a nice relaxing walk in the woods. The trail runs parallel the river, however, majority of the time you can’t see or hear it. You do end at a really nice beach area on the river. I suggest packing a lunch and making a picnic of it. It’s a really beautiful peaceful spot. Trail is in pretty good shape; well maintained, but still has several muddy sections and areas with standing water.

Great trail, but we were charged by a moose and saw him a second time on the way back, we were able to scare him off but he wasn’t happy when we saw him the second time.

The first mile is fine until you get middle to end of hike it’s nothing but huge muddy puddles, walked to end of trail but didn’t see a waterfall, but the bright side the water is so beautiful and crystal blue.

Loved the hike today!! Was a bit icy in some places and really muddy in others. I suggest boots for this one. $5.00 fee for the day per vehicle.

4/18/20–trail is almost completely slush/puddles. Some slick spots where the run off goes over the trail. Xtra tuffs highly recommended for the next few weeks!

It was pretty easy. Simple walking trails, though I didn’t finish the trail (sun going down) it was pretty cool.

A little bit slushy in places but overall really well packed trails. If you go far enough you can reach Barbara Falls which are BEAUTIFUL

Beautiful walk, the trail was packed down and clear. We used basic ice cleats and had no problems. My 3 year old walked the whole way, a little ice here and there.

Trail was great until the creek to cross over to get to the waterfall. It was flooded and impassable. Still stunning tho.

Short hike (50%) as rain got heavier. Clear paths, quiet water flow. Delightful Sunday outing.

Easy and fun! We brought our jogging stroller... Not stroller friendly lol we made it though! It took 2 of us to make sure we got over all the mud and extra puddles from the rain. It’s a gorgeous hike. Lots of bear and moose poop! Bring your bear spray! We also found some dead fish on the edge of the river. Be alert for wild life!

We did the hike with a 3 year old and 6 year old. It was raining lightly. There was moose and bear scat on the trail. At the river edge there were dead and half eaten fish. Some muddy spots and a little buggy. Don't forget the bear spray.

Easy. Goes through woods, burned spruce, and a boardwalk that's partially damaged but passable over the marsh. Ends at the river. Brown bear and moose.

Great trail. We only had a short time and didn’t make it far but would try it again.
