Perfect trail with a view with little ones. We had 4 Kids with us ages 11,11,9,4. Distance and climb was perfect for their attention span.

The view is of course the payoff on this trail! Amazing view of the Matanuska Glacier. Bring your binoculars too!

The trail was wet with some sections having running water today due to late snow melt and ground water. It made it slippery in sections that had incline and needed to hold on to trees on way down in sections. Poles would have been helpful. Not necessary when conditions are good but with the slick wet areas they would have been nice to have.

The trail is also tight in some areas but with the greenery it also feels like hiking in Kauai for sections. Small rock scramble section half way up.

Bring a snack / lunch for the top and enjoy the view.
