good trail, will be back when i figure out if my jeep is amphibious
Does it count if I flew over this route in a helicopter instead of driving it? Either way Knik Glacier was amazing to see. Being from the South this was a surreal experience. I was able to hop out with spikes on and walk around for a while and get some really cool photos. It's been several years since I've been there but I plan on going back again in the future. (If there are still any glaciers left)
Rode this April 30th 2020. Trail was still pretty wet from the brake up. Water flow from the mountains and glacier were at a minimum and all crossings were traversable after walking across by foot. This was truly the greatest trail I can say I've ever taken. It was hard work, but the payoff seeing the glacier at the end was totally worth it, and made 2 recoveries and 2 broken CV axles worth it! Word to the wise, stick to the well traveled paths. All others are extremely boggy this time of year.
