Knik Glacier via Jim Creek is a 38.8 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Palmer, Alaska that offers scenic views and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options.

September 20, 2020September 10, 2020Does it count if I flew over this route in a helicopter instead of driving it? Either way Knik Glacier was amazing to see. Being from the South this was a surreal experience. I was able to hop out with spikes on and walk around for a while and get some really cool photos. It's been several years since I've been there but I plan on going back again in the future. (If there are still any glaciers left)
June 23, 2020We went on Memorial Day and the ride was awesome. Saw several moose with new babies, lots of bear track. Excellent ride!
June 1, 2020Great Adventure! Drove out in February with a group who knew the area. Yes we did get stuck so make sure you have a winch and go with others. Great views!
April 30, 2020Rode this April 30th 2020. Trail was still pretty wet from the brake up. Water flow from the mountains and glacier were at a minimum and all crossings were traversable after walking across by foot.This was truly the greatest trail I can say I've ever taken. It was hard work, but the payoff seeing the glacier at the end was totally worth it, and made 2 recoveries and 2 broken CV axles worth it! Word to the wise, stick to the well traveled paths. All others are extremely boggy this time of year.
August 17, 2019Awesome riding! Some is in the forest, some on the river rock, some through the river and streams. Rewards you with an up close view of the Knik Glacier and icebergs.
