This is the main route from Brooks Camp to each of the bear viewing platforms. The wooded route parallels Naknek Lake and the Camp before crossing the floating bridge at the mouth of the Brooks River. It then briefly follows the main service road to the Brooks Falls trail, which eventually turns into an elevated boardwalk leading to each of the viewing platforms. The Lower River platform is an elevated viewing area, offering up an aerial view of the river marsh and wildlife. The Riffles and Falls platforms are great for bear watching, particularly during salmon runs.
