The beginning of this trail is located at about 4-4.5 miles down Eklutna Lake Trail, just after the bridge that crosses Bold River and runs into the lake.   The trail is easy to navigate, however the hike itself makes for a moderate to difficult experience because of the elevation gain.

Amazing berries above the tree line. Bring a machete to get through the lower half

This is a very steep hike with very rewarding views. It’ll give your knees a challenge on the way down. Very challenging, but a great workout.
