When you enter the Yellow/White connector, it's just a short walk to the Yellow Trail on your left. Follow the Yellow Trail until it crosses the Red (Bike) Trail. The yellow trail has several small stream crossings and will lead you next to the Tranquility Day Use Area. Continue following the Yellow Trail until you reach the Tranquility Lake dam, which was built by the CCC in the 1930's, you will see the old CCC camp cabins as you follow the Yellow Trail around Tranquility Lake. Follow the Yellow Trail to the North Trailhead. From here take the Red (Bike) Trail. You will eventually find yourself crossing the Yellow Trail to form the Figure 8, continue following the Red Trail back to the Yellow/White connector, then back to your vehicle.

Enjoyed seeing the old cabins, dining hall, & such. I wish these cabins were ready to rent, I would because of the view. We saw boy scouts working on the the Ridgeline cabins. Sure glad the park is fixing some of the cabins up.

Beautiful moderate hike. Beginning at NTH hike yellow past the dam. Cross the creek at BMX track and follow signs back to cabins and take connector white diamonds Bach to white trail then back to NTH. It’s about a 4.5 mile very scenic hike.
