Very nice hiking/mountain biking trails. Lake Howard is closed on Mondays. Restrooms near boat launch was very clean and well stocked. The trails are well marked and their are maps at the base near parking lot. I think the area closes 30 minutes before sundown. The trails are easy but a few hills will get the heart beating. Bring water it’s March and temperatures are almost near 80. Overall very nice area.

Mountain bikingGreat!

Really fun trail! Nothing real technical but there are some good climbs to challenge you, especially for this Florida boy. The downhills are super fun!

Fall colors are coming out. Rain was in the forecast, but only a few sprinkles and the wind. Trail is relatively easy to hike, very few rocks and roots, mostly carpeted with pine needles and leaves. I did 11 miles today.

Hidden gem! Biked and hiked this trail many times. It was by chance I found it 10 years ago. Wished middle Tennessee had a trail like this.

It’s probably one of the best rides in the southeast if you like smooth trails great signage and Fantastic winding wilderness scenery at every turn. Great for all mbt levels-varying distances and just an amazingly beautiful and serene place. I can’t believe I was only Mbt rider in July (2019) With scenes of Lake Howard at some of the times. Will be back with friends and family on this one.

This is a hidden gem I recently learned of. When out today with family and dog. Pleasant hike not many others mostly bikers on trail. When 4.8 miles and had nice picnic- little muddy in spots but overall worth the trip.
