This was a really nice walk in the woods. It was poorly marked as stated many times by others. You weren't in a gravel/dirt hardly at all. believe other trails nearby have good bit of that. We saw not q single person on the sunny Saturday so for those seeking solitude, give it a try.
Not very well marked as others have said. So I relied mostly on the AllTrails app to navigate There were dead fall trees across several sections that you had to climb over or under. But definitely a nice hike
Went on this trail yesterday and it’s great to take your dogs on. It’s marked very well with arrows and markers of how many miles you’ve went. I wouldn’t personally go in the summertime with my dogs out of fear of them getting snake bit, but it’s great for winter hike.
Grassy areas, so long pants to minimize briar CT’s. Trail was clean well kept and marked. Horses have left their marks in places and one part has a steep uphill. Good morning hike.., give it a try
A lot of storm damage that hasn’t been cleaned up because of all the covid-19 restrictions. But it will be very nice. Might try it again in a year or so. The trail markings were good except for a couple of places. But thanks to All Trails, we were able to find our way.
First time on this trail and in this park. I loved it! They’ve done a great job clearing the trails since the recent storms. Lots of blow downs in the woods. Several danger noodles.
Not my favorite hike. About 1 1/4 miles in I was suddenly walking on recently bulldozed land. It felt more like I was following a service road rather than actually hiking. The last half mile or so finds you back on an actual trail, about half of which is backtracking to get you back to your starting point. No real points of interest although I did see Bufflehead ducks and a couple of deer. The trail is well blazed and mostly easy to follow. This would be a nice trail if you live in the area. However it was not worth the hour and a half I drove to get here.
I would rate this trail between easy to moderate. The trail is well defined and marked well. Due to the recent rains, there were several damp/soggy areas on the trail. There were also several blowdowns, but these were easy to get over or around. The elevation gains are moderate. Although the lake level is down this time of year, the streams were flowing very well. Saw several deer. All in all a good hike.
Nice trail. Fair amount of hills. Beautiful creek which follows a lot of the trail. And plenty of views of the lake. Saw two whitetail deer and a golden eagle.
Nice trail. Well marked. Some lake views. Cleared nicely. One steep hill and had to traverse a couple of creeks. Really enjoyed it by myself and never saw anyone else on my hike but it is well traveled.
