Rattlesnake Ridge Trail is a 3.2 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Orange Beach, Alabama that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
Super family-friendly trail! This trail can easily be turned into a loop by taking the Catman trail back. Accessibility: In the large paved parking lot off of John M Snook Drive it is unclear if there are any designated handicapped-accessible parking spaces with striped access aisles. The trail surface is paved asphalt and typically at least six feet wide (separated into two lanes with a painted dividing line). The estimated grade is flat (all 1% or less) so will likely be traversable for most wheelchair/mobility equipment or stroller users. There are benches along the way for resting.
Very nice paved trail. Can be made into a loop by continuing on around the bike path to Catman trail.
Wife and I hiked this trail during noon hours. No shade and the scenery was ok, once you hiked the first .5 mile you’ve basically seen it all. But provides a great looping trail to get on Catman. There is also a pavilion, water and restroom at the end in front of the Fire Department. Which made a great trail end. Biggest complaint is the lack of shade, definitely not a trail to hike mid day in August.
