We absolutely loved this hike. We had a good time on top of the falls and an even better time behind the falls. The trek was very fun

We decided to make a 3.3 mile loop starting at the Wedding chapel (which is free). If you go to the Black creek trail and take a right to the suspension bridge and loop back around the gorge trail which takes you behind the falls. There is a trail off the gorge path that takes you down to the beachy area of the falls where you can take a swim. After this it was a quick trek out. This was a moderate hike but my bouncy 4yr old and my less bouncy 64yr old mom and dad both made the hike so it can be that bad. We did have to help both over the very slippery rocks behind the falls but it was not a big deal. My 3 kids enjoyed swimming and we went early at 9:45 so we avoided a big crowd and had lunch at the water before hiking out. We found the trails pretty easy to find and taking a picture of the trails on the big board at the start along w all trails gps was enough. Fun hike, mostly shaded and great waterfall!

Awesome trail! I was a bit sad that there were no evident indications of which path leads you where when headed down to the bottom of the waterfall.. Overall, beautiful park and I will definitely go again to explore the other trails!

Take the Gorge trail to the falls. Be sure to go behind the falls to experience something very unique. Beautiful place. The hike can be strenuous at times based on the path you choose to take. Overall, the property is amazing and a great place for any level of hiking enthusiast.

The directions for this trail take you to the free parking. We stayed on the gravel trail for a few minutes, then made our way down to the river. We explored in both directions once down there, but climbed up some rocks pretty close to the falls to get back on the gravel trail to end our hike. Pretty rocky, so not something I would recommend for children or dogs.

What a fantastic find. This place is amazing. Quite slippery under the falls. But what do you expect. About a 3.5 mile loop. Well worth the time

Ok, so we came here trying to find a great hike. The maps we had access to were for biking. We asked around and got some general directions. Park by the chapel and take the Black Creek Trail back past Cascade Bridge. Just beyond, there is an access point down to the river. Take it and head down stream. Follow to the Suspension Bridge, cross it and double back. The trail gets a little choppy, but it’s marked and you won’t lose it so long as you follow the river. This trail will end up taking you up and behind the water fall. Continue around and follow the trail for 1/2 mi until you see the sign pointing to the campgrounds. It will take you back up to the BCT and get you back to the parking lot. This was about 3.5mi, and mostly easy but there’s opportunity to climb rocks or not, some scrambles but nothing really tricky. Really pretty hike with lots to see. Great find!

Just wanted to point out that it says “no dogs” on this trail. Dogs aren’t allowed inside the paid part of the park; however, they are allowed, on leash, on the (free) Black Creek Trails, which are located on the same grounds. You can still see the waterfall from the Black Creek Trails if you have a pup you want to take along :)

Great hike. The swimming hole below the waterfall was a relaxing swim and great way to cool off! There are also some decent sized fish in the Creek.

Not a difficult road to get to this beautiful destination. A beautiful trail leading up to the waterfall. Any age can do it wear close toed shoes. During the summer time the snakes like to warm up on rocks so be mindful where you put your hands/step when it comes to sunny rocks. This trail can be short or long depending on where you start. I advise that you park right outside the campground area because it is FREE. Follow the gravel trail down to the sign says, “suspension bridge” once you see that turn left to go to the waterfall. The suspension bridge is also pretty to see, it is only a short walk at the sign turn right to see the bridge. If you have the time you can swim/picnic in the body of water the falls are pouring into. PSA definitely wear bug spray. Enjoy the hike!

This hike here was worth the whole trip. Never seen anything more beautiful! It is for sure a moderate trail. There are ups and downs. Rocks to climb over. However, it will be worth every step to get there. Do yourself a favor and go see this place! The trail well defined. There are several ways to get in the gorge. One is more intense than the other. The main trail is not bad at all.

Beautiful trail. Definitely hike to behind the falls and then all the way to the suspension bridge, cross the bridge and hike to the top of the falls. Terrific day on the trail and at the park.

There are caves in the area, but they are not easy to find. Gotta know the history. A very large recess behind the waterfall. Most days of the year the falls are breathtaking. The trail is a bit rugged and slick here and there, but all together pleasant. As usual around water sources, watch for snakes. Caught a few cute little yellow ring necks near the falls. Seen a few guys ride their kayaks off the top of the falls once. VERY ILLEGAL!! Nobody was hurt. At least a good 100ft drop. It was awesome!!

The trail is nice and the waterfall is beautiful. The only reason I gave this trail three stars is because of its “caves.” My husband and I love exploring caves and were super excited to learn that there were some in the area. Unless we totally missed something, the only caves along the upper portion of this trail are rock overhangs. They are not really caves with passages. If you want an intense hike leading to a beautiful waterfall, go for it! If you’re visiting just for the “caves,” you might disappointed.

Good trail I carried my entire family from 6-15 year old kids involved with mother and father in-law. Lot of people walking, running and biking. The only issue was he bikers ridding at a very fast pace and you had to be very aware of them while hiking.

I visited here this past weekend and hiked this trial with a three and four year old. We all loved it and stopped for a splash in the river. We made it just fine and are beginning hiking. don't forget your water and swim trunks, there is plenty of place to swim.

We needed a place to stretch our legs in the middle of a long drive. It was worth it just to see the 90' waterfall. Most of the walk that we did was paved or shelled.

Took our teenagers and had a great day. Went down to the falls and had a great time.

Beautiful trail that runs along Black Creek. The water was up a bit today, so it was rapid in several places. We walked the more difficult trail right along the waters edge for the first mile and loved it. Will definitely be back to try some of the peripheral trails that branch off this one.

It wasn't hard at all.
