Easy hike with nice terrain, not a flat path.

A nice trail. It features a few pretty little waterfalls after a good rain.

Hiked this on November 8th and the fall colors were amazing. We really liked this hike and when you get out there, you will see that the trails have color markings. We did the Orange, to Red, to Blue in a big loop. The trails are probably some of the best marked I've ever hiked. Just one thing though....If you do the loop in the direction that we did, be careful when you go from the red to blue. If you start on orange, then hit red, the red is just a very short distance, you'll cross a small wooden bridge and you'll intersect with blue. This is the tricky part.. Turn left on the blue and take just a few steps, then look over your right shoulder and you will see a blue marking going up the hill. This is what you will want to take to get back to the orange trail and eventually back to the trailhead. The first quarter mile or so in this leg of the trail is fairly steep (but not horrible) and very "rocky and rooty". After awhile, it smooths back out a little. Continue following the Blue back to Orange and you're home free. One note....If your main objective is to just see the falls, take the orange trail to them, When Orange and Blue split, do not take the Blue....It's over twice the distance. We also walked in trying to find the backcountry campsite. Seemed like we walked forever and never reached it so we just turned around and headed out. Nice trail though.

Lovely trail. Wasn't sure what to expect. It runs along a large stream. The All Trails locator helped a lot because even though the trail had blue blaze markings, there weren't adequate signs for my taste I guess. The unique thing about this trail was that there is this whitish, fluffy moss in several places with beautiful pines and bald rock in places. Just such a uniquely gorgeous, added bonus.

A nice easy hike. Lost Falls had the most crystal clear water I’ve ever seen A 4K GoPro time warp video of the trail at HikingAlabama.com A 4K video of the waterfalls at HikingAlabama.com

Waterfalls were dry, but it is August. Still neat to see under the falls and the drops from up to down stream. Started as the Blue and switched to orange at the Laurel Falls path. Still good trail, 5 year old, 10 year old, and 12 year old all enjoyed. A little over 2 miles, blue trail trail could use some maintenance, but orange was well maintained.
