Nice trail along the creek and then the pines atop the hill. I started on the Eagle Scout Trail, then linked the South Loop. Didn’t start recording until half way through. A good place to get away for a couple of hours while my kids are at a band festival at the university. The creek makes it worth it.

Running

Certain parts of the trail weren’t marked very well, but overall I really enjoyed this trail and look forward to running it again.

I'm a new hiker and found this trail appropriate for my skills. I loved the shady, pretty scenery and the peaceful quiet as I went deeper into the area. Well-maintained paths. trail is shared with cyclists, so be alert. I found the approach more challenging than the trail. I did both loops on the same day.

Great trail. Marked well. Great for dogs and children. Some small hills.

More easy than moderate. This trail was okay, decent and relatively easy. A lot of shade so it’s ok going there on sunny and hot days. Well maintained trail. Went to both the north and south loops on the same day.

This is very nice trail system close to the University of Alabama. It is very easy to follow. There are two serious hills to climbs, but other than that, the elevation changes are easy. You can still hear highway traffic, but it is still peaceful. Hikers and bikers are sharing the trails, so be mindful, but the locals are super nice.
