West Highland Way day 8, Inveronan to Glencoe Mountain, 14.5 km. Easy unsheltered hike on an ancient military road/path in good condition. Much of the way was uphill, but the incline was very mild. We travelled in the valley/ lower slopes of a series of increasingly larger hills/mountains until we arrived at Glencoe Mountain, the site of a ski hill. The usual stopping place and accomadation is a little further along at Kings House hotel, however they are in the middle of construction of a new hotel. This worked out well as we are staying in Glencoe Village, about a 20 minute drive from the ski hill. The drive was through beautiful mountain valleys that we would not have otherwise seen. We are comfortably settled at our b&b. Today was a nice hike on a warm blue sky day. We are both a little sunburned, which is unexpected in Scotland. We are noticably north of Nova Scotia lattitude as the days are long here; sunrise 4:32: sunset 10:04
