This trail is rated as moderate because of its length; it is by no means a moderate ascent. Be in good shape and prepare for a challenging but doable rock scramble to reach the top. Views are definitely worth the ascent and scramble. The descent is hard, steep and footing is tricky. We had rare sunny weather in Glencoe. Quite an amazing experience.

Amazing view from the top! Difficult scrambling over some loose rock but totally worth it to go all the way to the top and get that 360 view.

This was one of the best hikes I’ve ever done. Tremendous views starting from the ground level and changing as you go up. The 360 degree views at the summit are well worth the effort.
Be warned this is a difficult climb. My traveling companions had to turn around halfway.
A little way up the trail, you’ll have the option to turn right and cross a bridge, taking you up a path that’s a little less steep, but not necessarily easier because it’s less direct. Each path offers different interesting scenery. It is possible to go up one way and down the other (essentially a loop), since the two trails meet at the summit.

Moderately technical with a fair amount of loose rock. The incline is moderate but the part that’s hard is your footing on the way down. Make sure you have the proper gear. Phenomenal views. Took us about 2.5 hrs up and back.
