Part of the Borders Abbey Way trail. This portion from Hawick to Selkirk was amazing. We walked through farmland (why you need your dog on a leash), forest, marsh, small roads and towns, and even a golf course! The whole time you see and follow remains of old dry stone wall which is really neat. Trail markers were a little difficult to follow at times but that only added to the adventure. It is nice that it ends and starts in towns, all in which have historic remains of old Abbeys.
