great view of Belfast. quite windy at the top but added to the atmosphere.

Begin at the interpretive panel in the parking lot for Belfast Castle. At the first fork, turn right. After this, stick to your left.

I did not do this so I had to do the opposite. As a result if I hadn’t turned around at various points I would have missed the caves and Devil’s Punchbowl.

This is a great hike and is easily accessible from the city. You an catch a bus from the city centre to the castle, walk uphill along the road to the castle. At the top of the hill you will get some stunning views of the city, especially around the section of the hill known as Napoleon’s nose.
