We wanted something for the whole family, and this hike had it all. The Heathersage Moor was delightful with the ferns, cotton grass, flowers, and slightly damp soils. We walked up to Carl Wark, which is an old (iron age?) fort. Then up to Higgor Tor, where the winds were blowing and had great views. Next you walk up to Upper Burbage to cross under the bridges then back along the Burbage Rocks. If you look at the rocks you can see thousands of bullet holes from the Army training drills from WWII. I think everyone was happy with this hike.
