Listed as kid friendly but first part involved walking along a narrow road with fairly busy traffic. Southern entry point is also almost invisible and difficult to access due to a big puddle of water right at the entry point after a rain shower. See photo. Gave up and went for the much better Ambleside trail.

we chose this for our first walk/hike and it was a great starting point, my daughter is 3 and made it right round with a little help on daddy's shoulders. and the weather was very windy + it snowed a little at the top but well worth it for the amazing view.
