The Grand Canyon of Ukraine is the deepest of the many canyons in the country, with a depth of over 320 meters, and a width at the bottom that reduces, at times, to 2-3 meters. The slopes of the gorge consist of peculiarly colored limestone and are covered with hundreds of tree and herb species. The pure waters of Canyon's rivers and lakes are inhibited with trout, and in the forests in the lower part of the gorge, you may see hedgehogs, badgers and roes.
