This area across the river is a large expanse of mangrove swamp perfect for exploring by bicycle! Put your adventure hat on and take off into the jungle on a bike. This area - known as the 'green lung' of Bangkok - has a long-standing bylaw that prohibits any tall buildings. As a consequence, it's a lush and peaceful village with tall trees, tons of wildlife and plenty to see. You can rent bikes at the pier, although they can be a bit creaky, so make sure to give it a test ride first. This ride can be done on any day, but it is best done on a weekend when the Talad Bang Nampung market is open.

Nice route for a bike ride.

There are paved roads with a decently marked bike lane pretty much the whole way from the pier into the park. The park itself is lovely and very quiet as cars and motos are not allowed inside the park.

This is a trip worth taking.
You’ll experience Bangkok in ways most don’t see.
Feels like your in a remote village but somehow still in the heart of Bangkok.
