If you’re in Taipei (and in decent physical shape), this is a must do. The views at the top are amazing! There is a platform about half way up the mountain that was packed with people when I went. Go all the way up to get away from the crowd and noise. This is a short but tough hike as it is straight up, and straight back down. Worth it!

It was extremely humid the day we went. The heat was unbearable although we went later in the evening. Very crowded too, as the views of the city from up top are amazing. But it was a great experience overall and worth every step of the way

Map doesn’t show where it’s bare or paved. Good mix though scary at moments of rope climbs near mountain 95.

Well paved, lit at night with amazing views. A simple hike to welcome you to Taipei with a night market close by after your trekking!

Easy trail with high ROI - pretty spectacular views of the city and Taipei 101. Try to avoid weekends or peak hours as the crowds can get quite trying.

A short climb to the top with worthwhile views over the city. It was way too crowded when we went though (for sunset). What should be a 20 minute climb took far longer due to the queues up each of the stairs. Would be better at sunrise perhaps.

Very rewarding, very steep hike. There are some boulders at the top top that you can easily scramble onto for some photo opportunities, but be warned, it can get very crowded and lines form for the best photo spots. There is also a small gym with a few weights, pull up bars and dip bars at the top.

A quick little hike up steps for breathtaking views of Taipei. Approximately 20 minutes to the top, but you will work up a sweat!

Best place to go for sunset. Do not pay for Taipei 101. The view this trail gives you is priceless. Start the trail maybe two hours before the sunset. Once you get to the top, find a nice place to sit(there was a big rock that gave an uninterrupted view) and enjoy the sunset. If you're in Taipei, you cannot miss this!!
