This hike offers breathtaking landscapes and unique perspectives over the Mont Blanc Massif! The path features are stunning: 5 passes over 2500m, 4000m vertical up, 30km over 2200m! The lane starts from a mountain pasture 2km after Ferret village in a very cute valley of Switzerland. It is very likely to lead to the Grand Col Ferret, the Italian Val Ferret, the fantastic Col de Malatra (2930m), the pass of Ceingles (2817m), the pass of Saint Rhemy and alternatively ends through Ferret's window or La pointe de Drene ( 2950m, for the very well trained ones). And last but not least you can relax and swim in one of the three Fenetre Lake (usually around 10 Celsius water). From Ferret, the beginning of the walk marks the path of the Mont Blanc tour. Until the Grand Col Ferret, the first climb has 700m of unevenness. From the pasture of La Peule the path is a fake flat on the side of a valley lined with myrtillers (delicious in late summer and beautiful colors guaranteed in mid-October). On the Dotze stop, Edelweiss fields before the arrival of the sheep. The Grand Col Ferret: magnificent panorama. Frequent icy wind, took warm clothes even on the most beautiful days of summer. Long descent to Arnouvaz. The refuge Elena, a small restaurant at the foot of the pass, one of the 3 water points of the course, better to go light and enjoy restaurants to refuel. The Col de Malatra: From Arnouvaz, 1200m of unevenness lead to the Malatra pass. The path goes up on the left bank and then along the Italian Val Ferret. The panorama is superb: Mont Blanc, Jorasses, stop of Rochefort, Needles white and black of Peuterey. Between the Bonatti refuge (Ideal for a night of rest, a superb sunrise on the Mont Blanc) and the Grand Saint Bernard, there are 15km and three passes, full of drinks (a new refuge opened in 2011 on the flank East of Malatra, ideal for a drink break or a night of rest). The path is right bank, indicated by scattered yellow arrows. Turn left at the descent of Malatra, steep climb to the pass of Ceingles and pretty flat to the neck of Saint Rhemy. Possibility of stopping at St Bernard.
