The view is really nice, but after all the switchbacks the trail was washed out maybe by a snow avalanche before, wish we could have known this earlier. It looked very dangerous so we turned around before making it to the top.

Basically going uphill 95% of the time but the views at the top are worth it. Some recommend taking the cable car down to avoid knee pain. Overall, really awesome hike.

To get to start you either have to walk from town or catch the small train from the town of Stans. The first half is well shaded but the second half is quite open and hot in summer. Trail condition was good. Roughly 2 hours to summit at moderate pace.
