The Sustenpass connects the town of Innertkirchen in the Bernese Oberland with Wassen in the canton of Uri through a 45 km long road. The pass is located at 2,224 meters above sea level. The summit tunnel at the pass connects the Aare and the Maiental. The road was completed in 1945. The Susten is one of the most beautiful alpine passes. The drive over the Susten can be very well integrated into a classic motorcycle tour starting in Innertkirchen: Innertkirchen - Grimselpass to Gletsch, then over the Furkapass to Realp - Andermatt - Schöllenen - Wassen - Sustenpass to the starting point Innertkirchen.
