Waypoints (0)

After going up to Murren with the gondola I went to the left side of the trail. It wasn't dangerous at all but at times it was a bit exhausting. The views are out of this world. When I started to go down to Murren at some point I missed a sign and went to the gray paths and it was a painful experience. Try to stick to the app I guess or be prepared for super stress on knees and feet. Overall though I highly recommend it.

The hike begins and ends at the Schilthornbahn station in Mürren, which we reached by gondel from Lauterbrunnen to Grütschalp followed by the train to Mürren (costs 22.40 SF pp). After a few metres on the asphalt road, the natural path to Spilboden begins. It's an easy track with nice mountain views. Step by step direction: Allmendhubel – Blumental – Schiltalp – Spielbodenalp – Mürren

One of the most beautiful hikes I have ever done, it's in my top 3 of all time! Havasupai in Arizona, Tongariro in New Zealand and now North Face in Switzerland. Highly recommend.

Awesome beautiful hike. We took the gondola and the funicular up walked down to the mid Station. We went with a 6 year old and two 7 year olds and it was an easy hike for them. Lots of little restaurants on our way down

Very scenic trail. Easy to low moderate. Low energy input but high scenic output. Not a lot of people traffic on a Saturday noon also!

Excellent trail for hikers of all ability with easy inclines, however wearing good quality footwear would be beneficial. Clouds take away some great view points, however was still well worth it. Various opportunities to get up and personal with the cows as well! Would recommend, if weather permits.

This is a very worthwhile, easy trail if you're in Murren. You won't get much of a workout, but it makes up for it with the great views of the huge mountains and cliff faces. This trail, like others in the area, often goes through cow pastures so you may get some close up views of the local cows too.

It’s was ideal for a late afternoon hike, easy and flexible enough in case you need to do a shortcut if it gets dark.

Stunningly beautiful trail. Winds through wooded areas, past cabins, but is largely open with beautiful views of the North faces of the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau, and their neighbors. 2.5 hours with plenty of stops for photos, and some elevation gain but not too strenuous.

Perfect way to spend the afternoon, watching the light change on all the giant peaks across the valley as clouds streaked by. The uphill out loop is the best part. Two nice places along the way to stop for beer and more soaking in of the view.
